Matthew Ch 6 v5-15 Lords Prayer is that not one should perish

The Lord doesn’t start the sermon on the mount with the Lord’s Prayer, sequentially this is of interest, but the Lords Prayer does lay at the heart and centre of the Sermon on the mount. This was taught to the disciples through his daily life too.

Of interest, prior to the actual Lord’s prayer, Jesus has already started to focus on his Father and on Sonship.

This is significant as the Sermon on the mount was structured by Jesus in all its sequence.

Jesus is instructing his disciples that Sonship is closer to the heart of God than the law ever was. Therefore, what they had previously heard through the law, and had been taught, was being superseded by the bond between the Father & the Son.

Jesus had to teach them concerning his Father as he being his Son truly knew him. Jesus did not need the laws of God to truly know his Fathers heart, therefore, Calvary has always been at the heart of the law – the soul that sins must die!

Therefore, we can only truly know who God is, as are Father through the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Romans Ch 5 v6-10

Now scriptures teaches us that we ourselves were enemies of God.

Therefore, we ought not to be surprised that Jesus was teaching his disciples that, the law having been unable to reconcile them to Fathers heart and nature, that having needed the mercy of God themselves that they also should likewise love their enemies.

This gets to the heart of the message of the sermon on the mount, God desires a people through whom he can reach and teach the lost about SO GREAT A SALVATION, a City set on a hill. It not being his will, that any should perish.

Right here at this juncture, Jesus introduces being sons of your Father who is in heaven. Jesus is affirming here through Matthew what is stated through John in Ch 3 of his gospel.

A relationship with God as Father is the Kingdom of God, family is at the heart of the throne room. Now we understand a little more clearly why Matthew opens his gospel with Jesus being a son of David and a son of Abraham, the covenant promises to both this men represents the heart of God unto all men through Christ Jesus, the man born King of the circumcised ones.

The generation of Jesus Christ, is God is my Father – not Joseph.

Grace is the defining characteristic of Christianity and of Sonship.

Family is at the heart of the throne room. The knowledge of the truth sets men free. Gods word has always been plural unto his image upon the earth, as God is triune and God by nature gives life unto another. Sharing Himself with his image, is the truth that sets men free, this truth is so deep, that it goes deeper than the sins of all this world.

The lamb of God was slain as a foundation before the world was ever framed. God predetermined to liberate mankind from the bondage of corruption & deception through his original Word. The Original Word of life was nailed to the full fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

God had shared his very own breath with original man, and placed him in the garden, from whence the river divided into four rivers.

Seth, ‘Called’ upon the name/nature of the Lord.

Enoch, ‘Walked’ with God.

Noah, built a ‘dwelling place’ for God and man.

Abraham, the fourth biblical man, received the promises of God, that God would bless every family and nation of the earth through his seed. An outward flowing river of life, that reaches the four corners of the world.

At the heart and centre of the garden, God had placed choice. A tree of life and a tree of separation. At the centre of love, is the liberty to let the beloved go, if they choose not to cleave unto life. The commandment to love God, is not enforced through the removal of choice, but rather it is fulfilled through choosing to believe his love. Loving God is a commandment because love must ‘BE’ the centre of life. Be it unto me according to thy Word, birthed a Saviour for the whole wide world, this is the love of God, made flesh, this is the commandment of God demonstrated. Love always wins, as Jesus is undefeated, he is the reigning champion of all ages.

The Lord states for the very first time in his creation, that something is not good. The masculine and feminine, God had declared as being very good. But the man is alone, and God being plural affirms that mans singularity is not good, and it is also not a reflection of his image, family being the heart of the throne room.

The Lord made man a helper who would correspond to him, hence, the fall was ultimately a failing of the masculine to speak a word of truth in love, during the temptation. Had man spoken to his wife that she was being deceived, she would have received his love having been designed to correspond unto him. Man has been given the commandment and man had been given a helper who would correspond to love. Man failed to love his wife, and allowed her to be the Guinea pig of temptation, and the fruit of his failure led him to default in his correspondence with his Maker. Blaming God for the gift of his helper.

Right here we get down deep into the deceptions of the feminist movement, women is created to correspond to love, she is not created to have authority of teaching over what God has commanded.

God is far more detailed when he speaks to fallen man. Where are you? Is still the cry from the throne room, unto masculinity in this and every generation. God hasn’t forgotten his own blueprint nor that which truly reflects him. God speaks to fallen man, asserting the original order, that he had been commanded by God and that he had sinned in placing his wife’s voice above that of GODS HOLY AND ANOINTED WORD.

‘You therefore must be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is perfect’.

Gen Ch 17: When Abram was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, ‘I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be perfect, that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly’.

Then Abram fell on his face. He did not preach triumphalism, and gee the masses up!

Abram fell on his face. And God said to him, ‘Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations. No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham, for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

GOD is the full infusion of biblical teaching! We triumph through the holiness of God.

God spoke further to Abram when he responded by falling on his face. Abram chose to respond by placing his face against the dust from whence he had been formed. Only God can breath into my life such great exceeding promises. What is man that you are mindful of him? Liberty in blessing is herein found, Gods Word is the liberator and God himself is liberty: ‘In God we Trust’ has given America great freedoms and through it a multitude of other nations have been blessed.

‘I am God Almighty’, this is as true today as it ever shall be. To be an enemy of Israel is to consign yourself to defeat. God Almighty has promised the land to the descendants of Abraham by covenant oath.

God is very intentional and specific. Only through Sarah could this son be born.

God evidently views marriage as being between one man and one women. The blessing unto Abraham that would extend to every family and nation, is according to this blueprint and the spiritual principles revealed within this family nuclei.

I will bless her, twice repeated by way of witness and testimony. Ch 17 verse 16 oozes a co dependency that God had originally designed. And later on Abraham obeys his wife’s voice as she is being led by the Spirit of God, which does not contradict the authority of scripture. ‘And he loved her’, had come to fruition through Sarah recognizing the bondage of her folly in giving a foreign women to her own husband. Sarah came to see that the worship of God, is love at the centre of family. Hagar was a bondwomen, she was not born free. And she came from a system that did not worship in spirit and in truth.

When Sarah repented of her sin, she gave birth to a son of promise, and it produced a love women had been designed to correspond to.

Had Abraham not been impacted by the adamic fall, he would not have viewed his wife as outside the protection of Almighty God, and he would not have defaulted to his own knowledge of good and evil when entering Egypt, without divine guidance. Abraham, stating that his wife was beautiful and one to whom others would desire – to the extent that they would kill him, if it was known that he was her husband. And thus, even Sarah picking up Hagar was a Spiritual fruit of the man having failed to obey the commandment of love – but thank God, Pharaoh is subject to Almighty God, he lendeth every man the breathe of life.

Sarah is inside her tent, and Abraham is guarding the entrance, like a flaming sword, cutting through to the bone and marrow from whence they both had been joined together.

A sword to guard the entrance to the tree of life: Eve being the mother of all living.

Whatsoever he says to you, do it. “Quick! Three seahs of fine flour! Knead it, and make cakes’

Abraham & Sarah together made bread to refreshed the King of heaven on his journey.

Where are you? Abraham, knew where he was, at the door of his tent in the heat of the day. He lifted up his eyes and looked & when he saw them he ran to meet them. Abraham, was waiting for them, we know by his response that this was an answer to his prayers. Abraham knew that they had come specifically to him. And yet that they also had a commission.

Abraham, knew they had a commission and that commission incorporated a visit via his tent.

God is plural and his truth is at the heart of family. When Judgement was coming unto Sodom and Gomorrah, God needed a prototype of his original intention of blessing.

God has shared with his image – his own life. Abraham & Sarah are a family nuclei of life, one according to the original mandate of Gods commission: Be fruitful and multiply.

Before Judgement, Jesus was refreshed through a prototype through whom the blessing would be fulfilled. Jesus was likewise ministered to when he sat at table with Lazarus.

Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?

Showing it to Abraham, was not giving to dogs what is holy.

Abraham was not hiding from his maker, and hence God imparts knowledge concerning good and evil. The ransomed Church of God shall judge this world – 1 Corinthians Ch 6 v2-3.

Righteous is a clear theme of the sermon on the mount. Abrahams, intercession unto God is grounded in righteousness: ‘Shall not the Judge of all the earth do what is right’.

Lot responds to the angels akin to how Abraham responded to them. Lot, is also waiting at the entrance to the City. Oh, poor Lot, who had chosen the lusher plains, blessed are those who are poor and hunger for righteousness.

And yet, he is in the gate waiting, waiting for a man like Abraham to enter. Lot had not forgotten  about Noah nor his Uncle, Lot was waiting at that gate for a clean man to enter. Lot was sick of Sodom, yes he himself had judged it – he had come to sojourn and he was judging it, but his weakness had been an inability to sojourn as Abraham had: ‘I have lifted my hand to the Lord, God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth, that I would not take a thread or a sandal strap or anything that is yours, lest you should say. ‘ I have made Abram rich’.

Matthew Ch 6 v24.

The evil one came to Jesus in the wilderness and offered him all the kingdoms of this world, all the pomp and riches. Worship God, only him do I serve.

This injunction to be perfect, is followed by the attitude of heart whereby we are to serve are fellow man and then on secret prayer, communion with the Father. Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, ‘For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice’.

Command his children! The way to the tree of life, obey the voice of the Lord.

Masculinity is integral to the Church of Jesus Christ & Biblical Masculinity will not as Abraham didn’t, endorse the perversion of the image of God. The very knowledge of God Himself is directly linked to a correct interpretation of scripture on this issue, Roman’s Ch 1 v18-32.

Romans Ch 1 is followed by extensive teachings on righteousness.

Matthew Ch 7 ‘Judge not, that you be not Judged’.

Matthew Ch 6 v 4 & 6: ‘And your Father who sees in secret will reward you’- be consistent in public and private.

Give us this day are daily bread – man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from God. Jesus taught his disciples to ask God the Father for daily bread, we are to pray and trust God for such needs.

Jesus stopped at Abrahams to eat bread and be refreshed before Sodom was judged. It was provided provisions for that day, shared. It was a part of their communion, Abraham had obeyed the words of God that where not bread, aka separation and circumcision etc. God blessed Abraham so that he could also have provisions for others. Gods mandate of blessing to every family and nation, comes with a promise of provision to facilitate it.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

For if you forgive others their trespasses your Heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Trespassing is entering territory that does not belong to you.

The promised land of God, is love out of a pure heart, against such their is no law.

The Kingdom of heaven is a life on earth that honors the Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

Man became a trespasser in paradise, despite having total liberty to walk anywhere he wanted to. He became a trespasser when he digested a lie that God had withheld something of himself that was good and able to make him wiser.

Jesus when he had been baptized to fulfill all righteousness, is then lead by the Spirit to be tempted by the evil one for 40 days and nights.

When the light entered the water, the covenant promises of God shone forth: That God would not destroy the land by a world wide flood, but rather he would bless every family and nation through the son of promise – JESUS who takes away the sin of the whole world. All the colors of a Rainbow being seen between the angles of 40-42 degrees – right back to Father Abraham.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one! Temptation and being overcome are directly linked to whether we are forgiving other people their trespasses against us.

If we forgive those who are our enemies we are being Spirit lead into the very heart of God: Father forgive them for they have no knowledge of who you really are, but I know that you are the true source of all love. The sermon on the mount, is Gods heart beat to use his bride/Church to reach the nations

The wilderness is this respect is 40 years due to their unbelief.

If we believe the parting of the Red Sea happened through the breath of God, and that the walls of Jericho came down through the breath of God, then we need not be in the wilderness for 40 years. Gods original mandate hasn’t changed, Immanuel has always been God & man in harmony in the cool of the day.

A leper asked for his cleansing & he gets it as he asked. He is instructed to serve the priesthood by showing them that his cleansing was a proof for them too. Jesus’s love was that they might see the grace Noah saw in the eyes of God.

A centurion asks for his servant and his servant is healed to serve again in newness of life.

A mother in law to the apostle Peter doesn’t ask, nor is she asked on behalf of. But Jesus touched her and she rises to serve HIM.

Then a storm as the men are taken to the other side.

They begged him to leave their land just like the demons. Jesus did as he had one who would publish all around concerning the Almighty God who had delivered him.

Then we have a Father whose daughter is ill, akin to the Centurion asking for his Servant, an then a Women akin to the leper, but who did not verbally ask, but said within herself ‘If I may but touch his garment I shall be healed’.

Twelve being the number for the Church.

Peter had his mother in law abiding in his home, while she was ill.

And a Father caring as much for his daughter as if she where his heir apparent.

And a women touched him, without asking. Free access she believed to the tree of life. But it came at a cost, it came with the plural revelation of the inheritance, made in his image both Male & Female, the garden into which God loves to reproduce after his own kindness.

What she had done in secret the Father rewarded openly: Daughter, my sister, my spouse.

The issue of blood, is a crimson cord for the whole family, woven into the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David the son of Abraham.

Note:

Abraham – ham whose descendants are Egypt & Canaan.  The covenant promise of blessing is for all Ishmaelite’s should they seek the Kingdom of God. But that kingdom can’t be separated from Sonship as the Father has shared all of himself with his son. We can only worship God through Spirit and truth: Come see a man who tore the veil in two, ‘And he loved her’.

Ham who exposed his Father. God only needs one obedient man to reveal his heart of love for every man, women and child, nation and nations. Noah saw grace in Gods eye, how much clearer that Grace has been manifested at Calvary: The Father forgiving all mankind for their trespasses against his sharing nature: Look up and live forever – Look and live, I will draw all men unto me.
