Isaiah Ch 6: Holy is the Lord

This week I have read Isaiah Ch 6 – 10

I not entirely sure its been the correct place to be in, and have not got much time to write notes, having to work until 10pm Saturday night.

I have found James Hastings notes from Biblehub very good, ‘The Great Texts of the Bible’.

Isaiah Ch 6

The prophet Isaiahs hears one Seraphim call to another: “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory”.

I like that it is stated in the current tense, rather than the footnote that says ‘may his glory fill the whole earth’.

As all things tangible have been made through the Word, it has a greater impact to state that the whole earth is full of his glory. All sight of the tangible comes from this light. Thus, conviction of sin comes through the awareness of not having lived in the light of his glory!

Verse four has a definite whisper to Acts Ch 4 v31.

And to Hebrews Ch 12 v18-29.

I like that Isaiah it absolutely honest, and matter of fact concerning his response to that which he has seen and the shaking.

He states that he is lost!

He states further that the knowledge that he is lost is due to having seen a contrast. A contrast to the world he lived and breathed in, both as an individual and corporately. Here we have the narrative of the necessity of new birth and of John’s epistles: Love not the world.

The statement carries more than just a contrast. It carries an inward knowledge that the contrast can not be bridged through a determination to make Romans Ch 7 live!

For the prophet Isaiah this is his Damascus road.

For I am lost! Isaiah knew that he was void, that he had no power to alter his course. He was undone.

How remarkable that at this frank and honest realization, that immediately one of the seraphim should fly to him with a burning coal! A burning coal is an organic tree that upon the alter is still yielding its all, returning all the life that it has been given. A burning coal comes from a felled tree of life that is returning to its source. A word that does not return void. A burning coal is an innate confession of God having given life and that all the energy, praise belongs to Him.

Here, as in verse 13, we have John the baptists ministry. Directing through confession of sin, to the one source who can return your life to the source of life. A baptism of fire, is a life that glorifies God in all things, that acknowledges Him in all things, and withholds from him nothing as all has been given.

O thou who camest from above – Hymn

The Seraphim, flys to him! Immediately, Paul is baptized and preaches that Jesus is the Son of God.

No sooner than we know within that ‘I am lost’, that God sends the very same messenger to bridge are understanding!

How the angels love are God.

It would appear from the text that that which the angels said one to another was necessary and pivotal to Isaiah coming to a place of correct understanding and interpretation: Woe is me! For I am Lost!

These angels had never rebelled, knew no corruption. These angels returned unto God, the truth of Gods love. Holiness is a love without capacity for corruption, it knows no jealousy only a pure love that resonates towards are deepest design template for living: Gen Ch 1 v3.

The cry of these Angels one to another, is why the gospel is preached. It is why they are part of the vision of God, and the sending forth of a ministry of prophesy: Immanuel. God has incorporated his creation, shared with them himself, hence the angels cry is testimony to his truth: Loved with an everlasting love, Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord. Like the women at the well, their cry from proximity drew forth a thirst in others for living water. Come ‘see’ a man. Akin to the angels, and true to the nature of God, life itself is known as we share with others the source. That is why the Cross, is Holy, Holy ground, and the only gospel message.

The cry of Holy: it is never concerning oneself (Acts Ch 3 v12). It is full of liberation (for the fallen), it is a love that has freed you from the prism of self, bitterness and greed. The half of my goods, Zacchaeus! The cry of Holy is the void of uncreated not returning void. The spotless and pure tree of life, that which is harmony, the Word of life, to return must have been separated to complete/finish a mission. Enabled, to speak, an imperfect man who physically will die, but carrying words of eternal life. The rhythm of life, the word of God that had been broken, reconciled at the alter and sacrifice ‘Finished the mission’: Father forgive them. The Lordship of the Son, the headship of Christ, the Father heart of God the essence of prophetic ministry. Malachi C4: Healing in the WINGS of resurrections light. An imparted righteousness the new covenant, sufficient to enable you to walk.

Malachi Ch 4 v2 – Acts Ch 3 v8. Seeing them about to enter, ‘look’ on ‘US’! A shared vision and ministry, a corporate impartial veil torn: A word of mercy from the throne. They shared with this man, what they had entered into, what Christ had procured for all – Acts Ch 3 v25.

The new covenant cannot not be liberating, it is a law of life, of the Spirit. One who had built upon this cornerstone penned it to the empire of his day, FREEDOM, freedom from slavery always the cry of the dawn.

You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. Liberation, freed to be and enjoy all that had been freely given.

Paul was adamant that he never wanted to return to the hypocrisy of another form of righteousness. Sonship the narrative, the middle wall torn down, conformity to his image.

Their speech to one another was clean, due to that which they beheld! And here we see Johns epistles again, in that the eye gate, and the ear gate are windows to the soul which we must guard most diligently. 1 John Ch 2 v16.

How inclusive and incorporating is are God! The foundations shook, because the shared ministry is a manifestation of the nature of God. Are God is a redeemer. And the whole of creation groans together in the pains of childbirth until now.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? What an incredible statement from a man who did not know who his Lord was, a man who was as blind as blind could be & as lost as lost could be.

Their speech one to another was to Isaiah that which Paul later penned in Ephesians Ch 1 and 2 etc. Ephesians Ch 1 v4.

I can be holy!!!! Impossible, I can only believe it if my guilt is taken away and my sin atoned for. Only if their is a bridge that I can Cross, that saves men from their sins: JESUS, Immanuel, born of a virgin.

One of these Angels flys to him!

Now we know that two wings covered their faces, and two wings their feet. And so with the other two wings he flew.

The angel was a messenger of the glorious gospel of salvation. His very motion carried the redemptive message of the Cross. Wings outstretched.

Gods divine order is a word for all humanity. Made in his image, a word that does not return void.

Isaiah Ch 8 v12: Isaiah heard it long before the age of 24 hour news and documentaries!

Good news, we live are lives for Him.

For to ‘Us’ a Child is Born, to ‘us’ a son is given.

Made in Gods image. With God all things are possible. He has come to make mankind fruitful!

God has fulfilled his own word, commissioned unto mankind. A word that never returns void.

Let us make man in our image, after are likeness.

Jesus of Galilee!

Fruit among all the nations, of his government there will be no end..

In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord! Jesus the King of the Jews!

His resurrection is a bridge even a dying thief can see.

We have all taken what was not ours! All the praise and glory belongs to Him

God rested after he had made man in his own image. He rested because, man was made corporately by the triune ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’ One.

And Gods corporate ‘Us’ is a finished work, it is a foundation laid before the world ever was.
