Matthew Ch 20 & 21: See

Jesus specially takes his 12 disciples aside en-route to Jerusalem and informs them again concerning his death. He starts the conversation by highlighting the road they are on, it is a ‘See’ in the context of of that has happened and to the geographical direction. This ’See’ is also and especially one of understanding, that God will provide a sacrifice.

This sacrifice, is one critical to remove fig trees, as it is the only sacrifice that enables men and women to be restored under the covering of the lamb. It is the only sacrifice that answers the big sin issue, and all the subsequent internal layers that are unaware of Gods great desire that we be in tune with the melodies of his pure and everlasting love. God delighted in Adam when he named all the animals. In fact God came to ‘See’ what he would call them.

The pinnacle for Adam of this wonderful geographical ‘See’, with naming rights devoid of insecurity and foreign to controlling dominance, was women.

Such an atmosphere of liberty was present, that Adam actually negated to impart the only Word of commandment to preserve such an atmosphere.

Eve, ‘saw’ the fruit and was deceived into believing that God had withheld from her knowledge. Adams negligence to impart what he had been given proved to be a critical flaw in establishing the fruit of their union from being a reproduction of original design: And God ‘Saw’, all that he hade made and it was very good.

Yet, Eve was correctly named, and the fruit of her seed, did provide a sacrifice that cries better things than Abel. And Gods Word is a Word of Life, Life Eternal to all who look and ‘See’ and believe in Him who died for the sin of the whole world.

The message of Jesus Christ is that you need not die, that you need not have a life devoid of the melodies of relationship with a God who has shared all of creation, even the deepest treasure of his Heart with mankind. What a word from God is this? Wars in Syria! Famine and drought in Africa, depression and pills in concrete jungles filled with the noise of Cains noisy prodigies. You can have life, melody with an ever present God who is love, an unconditional love who ‘Saw’ the road to Calvary and never flinched, from seeing it through to completion. So that it would be the truth that sets free, and no other religious sacrifice, this truth travelled along roads to the heart of empire, and turned the world upside down.

(No surprise that light is also a wave, as every spoken word oscillates too)

Truth, is a torn veil. That Gods original creation had no separation between his tender love and all mankind’s many internal receptors being tuned to resonate with loves cords. Not a surprise that the Church of Jesus Christ is known for the immeasurable quantity of its hymns, psalms and praise numbers. Singing comes from the throne of God, and when it returns it is a reciprocated sound from an individuals liberated life from all the shackles that bind.

Notice how specific Jesus is in verse 19. He knew that his Fathers will was the fulfillment of the Covenant promises, that the Gentiles must be blessed unconditionally through this sacrifice. The depths of the triumph of love over evil. Knowing he would be mocked and flogged by a people who did not respect him, after rising from the dead he sets about his mission to open their eyes to ‘See’ – the very commission given to a man knocked off a horse, and sat upon through the suffering of chains and shipwreck, by night and day, to carry the sound waves of eternal life to a king exercising authority over his subjects.

The mother of Zebedee comes to Jesus at this junction, and requests that her sons are allowed to be as close to him as possible. Reading the narrative, it would be a surprise if these two sons had not been in league with their mother. Every indication is that they were of one heart in this matter. John I believe, had been there with John the Baptist, and so he had been drawn to the kingdom of God ever since the prophetic voice had sounded! Therefore, given the message of repentance we ought not to consider this request as being marred as raw human ambition, no it was interwoven with a desire to ‘See’ where he dwelt and how he reigned.

Yet, Jesus knows all men, and he knows the roots that need to be severed so that the light and love of life might touch and flow from one to another. The original mountain in Genesis Ch 2 covered the same placement of man in a Garden to tend, prune and be fruitful the repetition of his placement there being a witness to Gods unchanging plan: Behold, repetition, the lamb of God: cords that caused John to follow.

John had heard the words of John cry it, and lived and breathed with Jesus during his miraculous ministry, but he also needed to ‘See’, the risen lamb who was and is and is to come!

John’s final revelation is the fulfillment of all scripture, it is the last cannon, fired from the heart of God that will not return void, Matthew Ch21 v4. ‘The Spirit and the Bride say Come’ is a song that reveals that the veil has truly been torn, there being no separation between the message of Christ and his Church: Truly what God has joined man can not separate, and the fruit of this union is the water of life without price, too exquisite to value, life filled with Joy eternal.

Did they cross the Jordan as they passed Jericho and faced Jerusalem? I don’t know, but without doubt Jericho was the first walled city built by Canaanite prodigies.

Two disciples heard John the Baptist cry: Behold the Lamb of God, as he ‘Saw’ him walk.

And two beggars sat down to beg as Jesus passed by.

The crowd told them to be silent! Do not reciprocate to the wave of light reaching your ears and able to give sight: Mercy, had born within their minds visions of sight.

Jesus, stops and gives his undivided attention to two beggars, at the roadside of what was a mighty City. This Cities walls had been brought down centuries ago, through the sound waves of love, a harlot ‘seeing’ that God had parted the Red Sea out of extravagant love for people.

The One who had brought down the walls of Jericho, with a crowd around, fixed on him, stops and gives his undivided attention to two men who can not see, but have had a vision of mercy passing geographically by en-route to his throne in Jerusalem, to sound out across the whole earth. Jesus stops to serve them, the beggars unveil that the King of heaven has come to serve humanity.

A fruitful Church in every home, a straight road that Paul was commission too: that all men may ‘See’.

A prayer meeting for the beggars, harlots and infants. A prayer meeting for repentance (Jordan), deliverance (Jericho), and the establishment of peace, Jerusalem.

We all came from Adam and Eve (two), and God clothed them with the provided sacrifice. They are witnesses that God has not changed, we are clothed by his covering of a merciful provided sacrifice.

The mountain can be moved if we ask in prayer. The blessing of Abraham, every family and personal ‘Booth’, the witness spread out across the night, light that travels faster than the speed of broadband, satellite and sound, that we might ‘See’ Him, who was crucified before the foundation of this World.

Notes:

Light travels faster than sound. That’s why the Big Bang theory can only start with Jesus. Just a thing to meditate on! Sound waves from God speaking, yet God spake light that moves faster than sound! Sight, it to ‘See’ that redemption was procured before we ever heard the cry from his stated geographical destination: ‘See, we are going up to Jerusalem’, IT IS FINISHED, the last cannon of the Son of David, the man after Gods own heart who fulfilled all his Will – the bright and morning star.

The representative man, the second Adam, the Saviour and Captain of our faith. Man is not listed in Revelation Ch 22 v17, as the veil is only removed in and through and by HIM, the wonder of redemption is His union with the bride, that corporately, men and women and the fruit of the womb children and infants, that from within the temple courts we sing together: Hosanna, perfect union between the bride and the Spirit. Come, an invitation to the wedding feast, Matthew Ch22. ‘Come’, carriers of the sound waves of creation, the tender cords of the cool of the day.

Exercising authority over them! Come, man is interwoven within the bride, a received answer to prayer – Eve asking for another Seed. The voice of the bride is heard in the land, as man is place centrally within the secure dwelling place of service: Come and See.

Witnesses unto Him, the bright and morning Star: The Spirit and the Bride, carriers of the Word of Life.
