New Covenant

On Saturday I have read Isaiah chapters 48 to 60. The reason I started reading here is because the open Bible on my desk was on this page!

Isaiah Ch 49 v 16 has been a particular blessing, as on Friday during the course of the day thoughts had been on the Lords hands, and how despite probably being a carpenter, the palms of his hands would still have been tender and sensitive to pain. To be God and in full authority, yet to suffer in such a manner is the absolute epiphany of expressing love and vulnerability.

Having listened in the gym to last weeks message, it was a blessing to consider that God invites people who are thirsty to come to the waters, those without money. God opened up this fountain at Calvary, never could money be offered for this love expressed, and certainly not fusion with the Spirit.

Isaiah Ch 48, starts with a clear desire within the heart of God, to have a relationship with his people that is founded upon a true and right response to the revelation of God.

Yet, in his foreknowledge God knew that the desired response from man, due to the corruption of mans nature, was not going to be according to the law of life! The obstinate nature of fallen man, would not surrender to the revelation of God.

7 & 8 (1 & 2 too + Word and Spirit 3)

Yet, at the Cross the Father had a man, whom he had sought, that surrendered to the revelation of God. And the revelation of God is ‘I love you’, unchanged to obstinate fallen men.

John Ch 3 v16 – Luke Ch 15 v24

We must surrender to the revelation of God, it is the truth of Calvary – Galatians Ch 2 v20.

The new covenant can never minister condemnation, as it is Christ the man of God, the Son of God, who has revealed hidden things. And those hidden things were from within himself, a bride pure and holy! That which is revealed by Christ at Calvary, is a fountain of crimson water that washes sins away until the ransomed Church of God is saved to sin no more.

If God fulfilled the new covenant, on obstinate mans behalf at Calvary, then the revelation hidden within Christ, is the ministry of reconciliation. A ministry of good news to all who have ears to hear.

The Cross is an umbilical cord between heaven and earth that reveals that which was hidden in Christ since before the foundation of the world. And to as many as receive the word of God, they are the sons of God. Born according to the will of God.

‘Thy will be done’.

The new covenant is not a new covenant unless, it is Christ doing for man what man could not do for himself. A Christian is the recipient of a finished work, the faith that has only ever worked by grace.

God took an obstinate Pharisee, and revealed to him hidden things that he did not know. He declared this to the gentiles, as they were included in the covenant promises that will not return to God void: all the families of the earth.

Acts Ch 17 v16 (Isaiah Ch 48 v5) – Acts Ch 17 v34.

Isaiah Ch 48 v6 – this is that – Acts Ch 2 v16

Isaiah Ch 48 v8 – 1 Corinthians Ch 2 and Revelation Ch 21

Isaiah Ch 48 v 14:

These verses are the text of scripture, it is the inspired word of God, it is the authoritative Word of God, speaking to us, speaking to us in our day.

There might be marches of pride in the streets and corporations propagating evil instead of good and education establishments influencing children against the better judgement of their parents. But Gods Word holds true, he laid the foundations of the earth and his right hand spread out the heavens!!

If every army and corporation on earth united against Gods purpose, Gods purpose will win. No Church or individual believer should take any notice at all of the tide of evil philosophy that has flooded western media and institutions – at the final revelation of Jesus Christ some will wail and weep.

God is looking for men such as Abraham, who will not give an inch to the King of Sodom. Isaiah Ch 51 v1-2. Looking to Abraham, means following his example, you can’t be a true Christian and endorse homosexual marriage, as homosexual relations are a lie concerning the Creator and his creation. The insanity of denying human biology regarding male and female gender, a clear and patent lie!

The tide of the world is scripturally called Babylon! And God shall perform his purpose on Babylon, that holds ever so true today. So be true to the living God, who laid the foundations of the earth and whose right hand spread out the heavens.

V14 – Assemble all of you! Every CEO, every pride marcher, no matter the numbers. GOD IS NOT SEEKER FRIENDLY! He is God and full of all authority, he will not be untrue to himself! Man was made in the image of God, Male and female (Abraham & Sarah). God does not countenance compromise with Babylon, not for a millisecond.

Isaiah Ch 50 v9 – They laid their garments at a young man called Saul’s feet. Stephen preached to obstinate men, who thought they knew, who said they were walking in the light of the revelation of God. And later on another man put on a Royal garment (Acts Ch 12 King Herod) and refused to surrender to the revelation of God.

Paul, did surrender to the revelation of God upon the Damascus road: he was won by love that had not changed for him, ‘why are you persecuting me’, a mystery that had been hidden to him. And he took the good news to a contemporary king of Babylon, Caesar the head of the Iron and clay that represented the feet of clay in Daniels vision.

The everlasting kingdom, that shall never pass away, and we today are to look like Stephen and Paul and Isaiah and Daniel into Eternity, not bending to men with reprobate minds.

Isaiah Ch 48 Verse 12-14: I think of Peter in his prison cell, as the foundations shook. He who was bowed down, speedily released.

And afterwards the sending forth of two, to foreigners, Isaiah Ch 56. To the true seed of Abraham, those who receive the light of his life, a life separate from the darkness, those who see Jesus at the Father right side (Isaiah Ch 48 v13 Stars in the night).

The New Covenant is an invitation for the thirsty! Those who have not found peace in wickedness, those who have failed, those who have tried to be righteous but been found wanting, it extends to all who march in pride and manage through fear. It is an invitation from a God who still loves this World, still gave his only begotten Son to redeem it and sanctity it and call them his own.

‘Come everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! come, buy wine and milk without money and without price’.

‘Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast sure love for David’.

Yesterday, today the same forever.
