Hebrews Ch 11: The faith

Hebrews Ch 11:

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

For by it the people of old received their commendation.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Right here we have divine order. Divine Order in respect to the Church and every nation and family and individual.

We are not free to determine what is truth. Right here in respect of faith we have God and his inseparable Word as the only authority.

Without Gods Word faith does not exist.

Existence itself is due to the Word of God.

Straightaway, here we have liberty and a burden of light. Faith is not self generated nor is it hyped up or ‘faithed up’ into believing every illness and sickness away from are personal lives.

Faith is determined and defined according to what God has spoken and is speaking.

How do we hear the Word of God? This is an imperative question?

The Scriptures and the Church these go hand in hand together. From generation to generation.

Can you have faith outside of the scriptures and the Church, Yes, you can, in that you may never have heard the scriptures read but when looking at creation you hear the Word God speaking to you. But that faith is found in scriptures too, so faith is ultimately not found outside the scriptures and the Church! This makes faith a stable institution upon which to build and construct are lives – it has a submission within it to ordinances and your fellow man.

By it the people of old received their commendation – The way of faith has proceeded the current day. Yet, faith is an opening of eternity and a living reality of God, and hence while it is old it is always new.

The James Webb telescope has a lot of money invested into it and praise God for all the things it can see. But faith will get your science correct rather than darkened by a foolish heart.

By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which he was commended as righteous, God commending him by accepting his gifts. And through his faith, though he died, he still speaks.

Abel speaks today, despite having died, as the faith that Abel heard and received was from God.

The scriptures and the Church. Abel speaks today, as Gods word has not changed. What Abel had received through hearing the Word of God, is also the same Word of God for us today! Abel still speaks today, as his faith was commended by God.

Abel offered to God a sacrifice, a first born lamb, a lamb according to that which his parents had been clothed by the Lord.

Abel speaks today – The lamb is the provided sacrifice for the inherent adamic nature of sin. The lamb is the covering from God for the loss of innocence, the lamb is the Word of God that imparts the knowledge of the tree of life despite the knowledge of good and evil.

Abel was commended as were the people of old who kept the faith – a belief at its inception that hears from Gods own Word that He himself must provide the sacrifice.

Worship is access to the living God.

Worship is simplicity, a confession that the earth is sustained by the light from the Sun. That without light from Gods Word nothing could exist.

Worship is access to the tree of life, not through grabbing its fruits for digestion, but through an honest confession of needing a flaming sword to divide between are souls and Spirit. That we need to be filled with Gods Spirit is the unction of Worship.

The people of old were commended. Abel was commended – we too are to be commended by the faith.

Enoch was commended. Being commended in the faith is necessary and essential.

Enoch pleased God and was taken up so that he would not see death.

Abel died but before he died he was commended.

Enoch was commended by God and taken up so that he wouldn’t see death.

Enoch was taken up, and Abel still speaks.

Without hearing Gods word and believing it, it is impossible to please God. As those who seek him must believe that Gods desire is to commend them.

Gods Word is a Word of commendation. If God is for us, who can be against us.

By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became the heir of righteousness that comes by faith.

Noah is a full circle of faith. Noahs faith in the invisible being what made the visible was proven to be the Grace through which God seeks to commend men and women.

Events as yet unseen.

Noah build a visible and tangible ark, into which his whole family and a sample of all creation could enter. This condemned the World as it proved that God way of faith is not elusive or exclusive but that rather it is available to all who have ears to hear God Word.

Noah heard a word of God, and it was a Word from God that had a warning.

The Archbishop of Canterbury does he have ears to hear what Noah heard? For decades Noah was mocked for preaching righteousness, that man and women were uniquely made in the image of God, and that the fall was redeemable only through the provided lamb from God. Noah, didn’t alter the word of God, nor bow down to the cultural tide of his day- he moved with fear, believing that God did not deviate from his original creation: Male & Female.

Noah, was commended by God and condemned the world. God does not endorse a perversion of his created image by the foolish and darkened hearts of men: that clearly comes from the the distortion of truth, a lie concerning the integrity of Gods word of life.

That which is clearly visible and tangible and affirmed by all science is Male and female: no child is born without both. The visible design of the male and female body both external and internal.

Faith is not contrary to science or reason. Faith is the wisdom of God.

If the Archbishop of Canterbury endorses same sex marriage it would be better that he had never been an Archbishop as he will receive a greater condemnation, having been appointed to uphold and defend the faith. The faith is affirmed by the apostle Paul in the holy scriptures:

Roman’s Ch 2 v20: For his invisible attributes, namely his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

For although they knew God, they did not honour him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature;

And likewise men gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval/ encouragement to those who practice them.

Now Paul was at least a millennia after Abraham and two or three after Noah. What would make a man think that the apostle of Grace was wrong in his interpretation of scripture? To endorse same sex marriage is to depart from the faith – Period.

1 Corinthians 6:9

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who submit to or perform homosexual acts,

Jude 1:7

In like manner, Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, who indulged in sexual immorality and pursued strange flesh, are on display as an example of those who sustain the punishment of eternal fire.

Note:

This post is cut short due to time. Hebrews Ch 11 was read in the last week and hence its inclusion as post for the week.

When it was read, it was not with any emphasis on the negative but rather the wholesome. I am aware that the C of E is conferring on sexuality matters, and despite not being a member I am very appreciated of their current adherence to biblical marriage and having an affection for the current Archbishop I sincerely hope that he as a leader and custodian of Gods Word and the faith will keep the faith of the patriarchs.

Noah Hebrews Ch 11 v7: Noah became an heir of righteousness through believing that God must provide the sacrifice: the faith.

John Ch 3 v16

V17: For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

v18: Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

V19: And this is the judgement: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil.

Whoever does what is true comes to Gods provided sacrifice, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

Justification by faith.

Repentance is a 360 degree turn from darkness into the light – we may have been great sinners but Gods provided sacrifice is a covering that gives boldness to approach the throne of God.

Abel – died

Enoch – ascended

Noah built an ark moving in fear being warned of what was to come upon the earth.

Abraham looked for a City with foundations.

We are with family today
